Brief overview of the day’s itinerary.
Depart for Nara.

09:30 – 10:30 – Drive to Nara
Travel from Osaka to Nara via expressway.
Distance: ~40 km
Driving time: approx. 1 hour
Nara was Japan’s first permanent capital (710–784 AD) and is famous for its temples and sacred deer.

12:00 – Visit Nara Park
A large historical park established in 1880 and home to over 1,000 free-roaming sacred deer, considered messengers of the gods in Shinto belief.

12:30 – Visit Tōdai‑ji Temple
One of Japan’s most important Buddhist temples.

14:30 – Drive from Nara to Kyoto
Depart for Kyoto.
Distance: ~45 km
Drive time: approx. 1 hour During the drive, the guide may explain the history of Kyoto, Japan’s imperial capital for more than 1,000 years (794–1868).

15:30 – Walk along Philosopher's Path
A scenic stone walkway running along a canal lined with cherry trees.
Highlights:
Named after philosopher Nishida Kitaro, who used this path for daily meditation walks.
Beautiful during sakura season in late March.
Small cafes, art boutiques, and traditional shops along the path.
